Collections created through Hestia are organisational groupings of recipes and do not represent private or restricted-access archives.

Please do not submit recipes or material you do not wish to appear online.

By submitting recipes to Hestia, you confirm that:

• you have permission to share the material submitted,

• the material does not knowingly infringe copyright or intellectual property rights,

• you understand recipes may be adapted into a standardised format for clarity and usability.

Hestia reserves the right to decline submissions that may create copyright, privacy, or legal concerns.

Recipes may be:

• reformattted for readability

• standardised into a consistent structure

• converted into metric measurements where appropriate

• corrected for obvious formatting or spelling issues.

Hestia aims to preserve the spirit and functionality of submitted recipes while improving clarity for modern use.

Some recipes may contain:

• unclear handwriting

• missing measurements

• incomplete instructions

• inconsistent terminology.

Where possible, Hestia will make reasonable efforts to interpret and structure these recipes clearly.

However, transcription and interpretation are not guaranteed to be perfectly accurate, particularly where source material is incomplete or difficult to read.

Collection titles are provided by submitters.

Clients should avoid including:

• full personal names

• contact details

• sensitive or confidential material.

Optional physical keepsakes such as magnets may include names or wording requested by the customer.

Hestia collections are manually reviewed, transcribed, formatted, and published by hand.

Processing times vary depending on:

• submission size

• recipe complexity

• transcription requirements

• current workload

Estimated turnaround times are indicative only and are not guaranteed delivery deadlines.

Because Hestia recipes are published as web pages, minor corrections and updates can be made easily after publication.

This may include:

Customers are encouraged to review their collection one published and notify Hestia of any issues requiring correction.

Clients are responsible for:

• understanding that physical products may naturally vary slightly due to production methods.

Hestia aims to maintain long-term availability of published recipes and collection links.

However, online services, domains, technologies, and platforms may change over time. Hestia cannot guarantee perpetual availability of any specific webpage, QR link, or digital platform indefinitely.

Hestia is designed to improve accessibility and usability by transforming recipes into published digital pages.

However, digital services cannot guarantee permanent or indefinite availability.

While Hestia intends to maintain collections and recipe pages for as long as reasonably possible - including maintaining domain registrations and online infrastructure - future circumstances, technology changes, business closure, illness, incapacity, or death may effect the long-term availability of the website and its content.

For this reason, clients are strongly encouraged to:

• retain original cookbooks, cards, and handwritten recipes

• keep personal copies or backups of important recipes

• treat original recipe materials as treasured heirlooms in their own right.

Hestia is intended to complement and extend the life of these recipes online, not replace the importance of the original physical materials.

Hestia reserves the right to refuse, edit, unpublish, or remove submissions that:

• breach these terms

• contact offensive or unlawful material

• create legal or copyright concerns

• are unsuitable for publication.

Questions regarding submissions, collections, or corrections can be directed through the Hesita 'Contact Us' page.

We use initials to identify the source of a recipe (e.g., to distringuish Nana's scones from an Aunt's).

You can choose to use full initials on your recipe submissions.

It is the responsibility of the recipe submitter to ensure that living relatives are comfortable with their initials being used in this manner. For deseased relatives, we may include these as a matter of historical record.
